A yacht race will take place from Hong Kong to Sanya, Hainan Island, China on 9 January 2025 (Thursday). About 9 yachts are expected to participate in the race.
The race will start at 1120 hours on 9 January 2025 off the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter, then follow an easterly route through the Harbour, Tathong Channel, Waglan Island and South Po Toi, thence to Sanya, Hainan Island, China.
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity of the racing route should proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the contestants. Compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972 is mandatory.
