Working area for remotely controlled navigation system test & manoeuvres

From 1 to 6 April, remotely controlled navigation system testing and navigation is being carried out off Tanjong Pagar Terminal.

As advised in the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.024 of 2021 dated 31 March 2021, the work is being conducted from 0700 to 2030 hours daily within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°16·097'N / 103°51·301'E
2) 01°15·557'N / 103°51·330'E
3) 01°15·556'N / 103°51·167'E
4) 01°16·100'N / 103°51·137'E

Craft will be conducting remotely controlled navigation system tests and maneuvers during the stated period in the working area. The vessel will be remotely controlled from Shore Command Center. Master onboard will take over vessel in the event of an emergency.

Vessel movements will be suspended in the area during these trials.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area for the whole duration of the works.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 5 (Keppel Control);
and
e) Communicate with Keppel Control for assistance, if required.
