Wing In Ground craft trial flights

On 22 and 23 May, trial flights of the Wing In Ground (W.I.G.) craft “Airfish Voyager” will be conducted off Raffles Reserved Anchorage.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No. 44 of 2024, the trial flights will be carried out within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°11·150'N / 103°46·067'
2) 01°11·333'N / 103°45·700'
3) 01°10·417’N / 103°45·017'
4) 01°09·833’N / 103°45·317'
5) 01°11·117'N / 103°47·700'
6) 01°11·817'N / 103°47·317'

The working hours will be as follows:
- 22 May 2024 1030hrs – 1430hrs Test Flight
- 23 May 2024 1130hrs – 1530hrs Test Flight

The W.I.G craft (AIRFISH VOYAGER) will be carrying out trial flights within the demarcated area as indicated.

All vessels in the vicinity are requested to keep clear of the test area while the trial flights are being carried out.

Safety boats will be deployed in the vicinity to warn approaching crafts of the activity in the area.

Craft involved in the trial flights will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area.
b) Maintain a proper lookout.
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution.
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with VHF Channel 68 West Control; for assistance, if required.
