Winds of up to 30 knots and seas up to 3 feet have been reported on the lower Houston Ship Channel and Galveston Bay. Mariners are advised to consider these weather conditions before beginning or continuing their transits.
Houston/Galveston Vessel Traffic Service has directed no further transits into the Bolivar Roads Anchorage due to forecasted gale force winds. Vessels currently anchored in the Bolivar Roads Anchorage will be allowed to check-in for departure.
Gale force winds are expected to persist through to tomorrow, Tuesday 21 January.
