Volcano Taal activity

At 1516H today, July 01, 2021, Taal Volcano Main Crater generated a short lived dark phreatomagmatic plume 1 kilometer high with no accompanying volcanic earthquake.

At 1600H, DOST-PHIVOLCS raised the alert status of Taal from Alert Level 2 to Alert Level 3 due to this continuous volcanic activity.

All vessels currently docked at CISC Terminals are advised to take precautionary measures and be ready for a possible vessel pullout from berth if the situation worsens.

CISC will continue to monitor this volcanic activity and will issue further updates and advisories.
