The date of implementation for the use of automated lanes has been revised from 31 May 2023 to 19 June 2023.
As ICA moves towards full automation of passenger clearance under the New Clearance Concept, ICA will extend the use of automated lanes to sea crew of all nationalities from 19 June 2023.
Sea crew will be automatically enrolled for the use of automated lanes when the crew member seeks arrival clearance at the manual immigration counters or designated automated lanes. To be eligible, the crew member is to fulfil the following requirements:
- Aged 6 and above
- Submitted SG Arrival Card (SGAC)
- Hold a machine-readable passport (biometric/non-biometric) with at least 6 months validity
- Hold a valid Singapore Visa (if applicable)
- Manifested in the crew list submitted via MPA’s Digitalport@SG
All eligible sea crew will be able to self-enrol their biometrics with their biometric passports at the designed automated lanes in Changi Airport and Land checkpoints.
For sea crew with non-biometric passports, they can enrol their biometrics at manual immigration counters at any checkpoint. Upon successful enrolment, sea crew can be able to use the automated lanes at departure and on subsequent arrivals into Singapore.
As part of ICA’s ongoing effort to streamline system processes, ICA will do away sending shipping agents of the e-Special via email (issued by CREW system) by 31 May 2023. As such, sign off crew needs to seek clearance in person at ICA Sea Checkpoints to obtain the pass Upon entry granted to enter Singapore at the sea checkpoints, the sea crew will be issued and notified of their electronic Pass (e-Pass) through the email address declared in SGAC.
Sea crew could retrieve their e-Passes information on ICA’s e-Pass Enquiry Portal which could be assessed on the SGAC e-Service platform. Alternatively, they could check the e-Pass validity issued using the following link (https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/epassenquiry).
