Upper Pool local traffic control filming operations

24 Aug 2023 / London, United Kingdom

Filming operations are being conducted for a Formidable Media production with marine contractors supporting the operations on Sunday 10 September 2023 between 06:30 and 09:00.

Due to the nature of these operations being heavily dependent on weather conditions, contingency dates has been identified at the following times; Sunday 1 October 2023 and Sunday 8 October 2023, for the same timeframes as detailed above.

To support these operations Port of London Authority (PLA) Harbour Service Launches will be in the vicinity to provide Local Traffic Control, when required. When Local Traffic Control is established, mariners may experience delays to their passage for no more than 20-minutes and endeavours will be made to ensure disruption to port operations is kept to a minimum.

PLA Harbour Service Launches will be positioned at London Bridge and Wapping Police Pier, displaying flashing blue lights. All vessels intending to navigate between London Bridge and Wapping Police Pier are to call ‘TOWER CONTROL’ on VHF Channel 14 as follows:
- Inbound at Wapping Police Pier
- Outbound at London Bridge
Prior to leaving a berth or mooring between Wapping Police Pier and London Bridge.

All vessels on the river are to navigate with caution and are to maintain a continuous watch on VHF Channel 14, following instructions from the attending Harbour Service Launches.

Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
