Uniform procedure for penal berth hire charges

Deendayal Port Trust has adopted the following procedure for levy of penal berth hire charges:

  • Cargo Handled: Mechanized Bulk Berths
    Penal berth hire charges to be levied for non-performance of productivity norms on the following agencies: Shipping / Vessel Agents

  • Cargo Handled: Conventional Berths handling dry bulk/break bulk cargo
    Penal berth hire charges to be levied for non-performance of productivity norms on the following agencies: Stevedoring Agents

  • Cargo Handled: Liquid Berths
    Penal berth hire charges to be levied for non-performance of productivity norms on the following agencies: Shipping / Vessel Agents

The above procedure will come into effect from 10 June 2020.
