Typhoon Kong-Rey approaching

29 Oct 2024 / Taiwan

In response to the approach of Typhoon Kong-Rey, Taiwan’s Coast Guard warning may be issued from later today (29 October) or early tomorrow (30 October), if it continues on its current path.

According to the current forecast, the typhoon has not yet affected Taiwan. However, due to the influence of its peripheral circulation, wind and rain is expected to gradually increase from tomorrow.

There is currently no news of port closures, but ships entering and leaving the port and berthing will be affected.

Ships visiting ports in Taiwan or planning to sail to the coastal areas around Taiwan during this period should consider the impact of the typhoon and adjust their sailing speed.
