Tropical depression affecting Hong Kong

Under the influence of the outer rainbands associated with the tropical depression, there are squally showers over coastal waters of Guangdong. According to the current forecast track, the tropical depression will skirt within about 200 kilometres to the southwest of Hong Kong tonight and tomorrow morning. Local winds are expected to strengthen gradually later today. Seas will be rough with swells. The Observatory will consider issuing the Strong Wind Signal, No. 3 this afternoon to this evening.
