A triathlon race will take place off the west of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 0700 to 0830 hours on 18 November 2023 (Saturday) and from 0600 to 1700 hours on 19 November 2023 (Sunday). About 25 boats and 1000 participants are expected to participate in the race.
During the aforementioned period, a race area will be formed by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (C) and the adjacent shorelines:
(A) 22° 17.074’N / 114° 10.329’E
(B) 22° 17.071’N / 114° 10.174’E
(C) 22° 16.965’N / 114° 10.158’E
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of all vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the race area.
Besides, the landing steps of Wan Chai Bypass Landing No. 1 to No. 4 will be temporarily closed from 0700 to 0900 hours on 18 November 2023 and from 0600 to 1700 hours on 19 November 2023. Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing facilities in the vicinity during the period of closure.
