Triathlon race in waters west of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

A triathlon race will take place off the west of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 0700 to 0900 hours on 12 October 2024 (Saturday) and from 0600 to 1700 hours on 13 October 2024 (Sunday). About 20 boats and 1130 participants are expected to participate in the race.

During the aforementioned periods, a race area will be formed by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22° 16.967’N / 114° 10.130’E
(B) 22° 17.154’N / 114° 10.133’E
(C) 22° 17.153’N / 114° 10.246’E
(D) 22° 17.072’N / 114° 10.293’E
(E) 22° 16.963’N / 114° 10.252’E

Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of all vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the race area.

Besides, the landing steps of Wan Chai Bypass Landing No. 1 to No. 3 will be temporarily closed from 0900 hours on 11 October 2024 to 2000 hours on 13 October 2024. Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing facilities in the vicinity during the period of closure.
