In the nine days from 30 March to yesterday (7 April), a total of 740 vessels transited the Suez Canal.
According to information from the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), arrangements for transits today (8 April) for vessels waiting at Port Said and Suez are as follows:
SOUTHBOUND CONVOY
At 0500 hours local time, about 23 ships enter the Canal with free run until exiting from Suez.
NORTHBOUND CONVOY
0015 hours local time, about 16 ships enter the Canal and wait at Great Bitter Lakes anchorages.
0530 hours local time, about 22 ships enter the Canal with free run until exiting from Port Said.
Convoy arrangements are subject to change from time-to-time by the SCA. Most arrangements are not announced in advance.
