Smit Lamnalco have announced a 5% increase in towage rates at the port of Mackay.
The new rates will be introduced in line with the lease execution date for SLTA’s occupancy of the new Tug Berth Facility, currently under construction in Mackay Harbour. At this stage, the earliest date for practical completion of the facility is 21 December 2021, with SLTA to take occupancy once approvals are received.
The effective date for the new rates will be communicated once the execution of the lease is finalised. The new rates will remain in effect until 30 September 2022.
