Testing of “Hydromover” smart navigational systems

Testing of the smart navigational systems of the craft “Hydromover” is underway north of Selat Sink until 30 March.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.13 of 2025, the work is being conducted daily during daylight hours - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the test area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
A) 01° 15.328'’N / 103° 44.065'’E
B) 01° 14.891’'N / 103° 44.449'’E
C) 01° 15.226'’N / 103° 45.032’'E

Testing of smart navigational systems on board the craft, “Hydromover” is being carried out in an area north of Selat Sinki. A target vessel is manoeuvring around the “Hydromover” as part of the testing.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn vessels navigating in the vicinity of the test area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the test area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the test area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control and Sinki Control); and Communicate with West Control or Sinki Control for assistance, if required.
