Temporary loading & unloading facility at West Kowloon Cultural District

A temporary loading and unloading facility has been established at West Kowloon Cultural District. The temporary loading and unloading facility will operate for a period of approximately 21 months.

Two dumb lighters, one hopper barge, one pelican barge and one dry cargo vessel will berth at the facility within the operation area. One tugboat and one work boat will provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the operation will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

The operation area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (F) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22° 18.027'N / 114° 09.748'E
(B) 22° 17.975'N / 114° 09.755'E
(C) 22° 17.959'N / 114° 09.612'E
(D) 22° 17.967'N / 114° 09.611'E
(E) 22° 17.976'N / 114° 09.649'E
(F) 22° 18.016'N / 114° 09.642'E

The hours of operation will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No operation will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the operation will stay in the operation area outside the hours of work.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of operation. Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the operation area at slow speed, bearing in mind that there are divers working in the area.
