Suspension of new tariff

Rio de Janeiro Port Authority has decided to suspend, until further notice, the application of the new Tariff I.

As such, Tariff I - Access Channel And Waterway Facilities Utilization Charge will remain as previous tariff/calculation method levied over vessel NET tonnage (5033-20/10/2016).

Tariff II (Berth Utilization) to be applied as per new calculation method informed.

The previous Tariff I calculation method is as follows:

Tariff I – Access channel and waterway facilities utilization charge - charged over vessel NET (charges subject to 10% increase in case of cargo importation)

- 2.1 – Per cargo tons loaded/discharged at Rio port premises: Ton x BRL 6,46 (about USD 1,20 x ton)

- 2.2 – Per container loaded/discharged at Rio public quay (full): Container x BRL 88,52 (about USD 17,71 per container)
* 2.2.1 – Per container loaded/discharged at Rio public quay (empty): Exempt

- 2.3. – Per vessel NET tonnage for vessel using Rio anchorage or loading/discharging at Rio private terminals:
* 2.3.1 – No cargo operation: NET x BRL 0,74 (about USD 0,15 x NET)
* 2.3.2 – Petroleum derivates or other fuels: NET x BRL 4,61 (About USD 0,93 x NET)
* 2.3.3 – Petroleum: NET x BRL 2,21 (About USD 0,45 x NET)
* 2.3.4 – Other bulk cargoes: NET x BRL 2,77 (About USD 0,56 x NET)
* 2.3.5 – Break bulk/project cargo: NET x BRL 6,23 (About USD 1,25 x NET)

- 2.4 – Per vessel entry: BRL 2.766,25 (About USD 554)

- 2.5 – Per vessel stay at anchorage area (every 10 days)
* 2.5.1 – First 10 days period: BRL 2.766,25 (About USD 554)
* 2.5.2 – Second 10 days period: BRL 2.766,25 (About USD 554)
* 2.5.3 – Third 10 days period: Every 10.000 DWT or fraction x BRL 5.532,49 (about USD 1.107 every 10k DWT or fraction)
* 2.5.4 – Fourth 10 days period and subsequent periods: Every 10.000 DWT or fraction x BRL 11.064,98 (about USD 2.213 every 10k DWT or fraction)
