Supply & delivery of sand

From 25 October 2022 to 24 April 2023, sand is being supplied and delivered to Changi East Deposition Area (CEDA).

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.072 Of 2022, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays and Public Holidays - within the area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

3 01° 19.435'N / 104° 03.484’E
4 01° 19.445'N / 104° 03.505’E
5 01° 20.307'N / 104° 02.720’E
6 01° 20.308'N / 104° 02.331’E
7 01° 20.225'N / 104° 02.146’E
8 01° 20.077'N / 104° 01.956’E
9 01° 19.596'N / 104° 01.956’E

The works involve discharging of sand by Self-Discharging Sand Carriers (SDSC) and Trailer Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) at Changi East Deposition Area (CEDA). Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
