Supply and delivery of sand at Changi East Deposition Area

The working period for the supply and delivery of sand at the Changi East Deposition Area has been extended. The work will now continue until 23 July.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.11 of 2025, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

The work involves discharging of sand by utilizing Self-Discharging Sand Carriers (SDSC) and Trailer Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHD) at Changi East Deposition Area (CEDA). Soil investigation work will be carried out by Jack-up barges assisted by tugboats.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control); and Communicate with Sembawang Control for assistance, if required.
