The Suez Canal Authority has decided that, from 1 March, exceptions may be granted to the rule that long haul rebate requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the vessel sails from its origin port.
This applies for specific cases subject to the following conditions:
1. The “Long Haul” rebate request is submitted by the local agent prior to the vessel’s sailing from “Origin port”.
2. The “Exception Request” is submitted by the local agent prior to the vessel’s Suez Canal transit via a message on the “E-Long Haul” service on the Suez Canal Authority’s website.
