Submarine cable repair works between Man Kok Tsui, Lantau Island & Hei Ling Chau

For approximately six months, submarine cable repair works [are being] carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (L):
(A) 22° 15.864’N 114° 01.286’E
(B) 22° 15.757’N 114° 01.381’E
(C) 22° 15.543’N 114° 01.627’E
(D) 22° 15.533’N 114° 01.664’E
(E) 22° 15.400’N 114° 01.577’E
(F) 22° 15.479’N 114° 01.496’E
(G) 22° 15.612’N 114° 01.288’E
(H) 22° 15.735’N 114° 01.213’E
(I) 22° 15.779’N 114° 01.257’E
(J) 22° 15.803’N 114° 01.236’E
(K) 22° 15.801’N 114° 01.207’E
(L) 22° 15.855’N 114° 01.156’E

The works [are being] carried out by one flat-top work barge. One derrick barge, one tugboat and one guard boat will provide assistance. Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

A working area of approximately 100 metres [is] established around the flat-top work barge. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the flat-top work barge.

The hours of work [are] from 0700 to 1900 hours daily including Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Diving operations [are being] carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works area at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the area.
