A new submarine cable has been laid from Shuweihat to Das Island. The cable route passes along the southwestern tip of Mugharraq Port.
The submarine cable coordinates are:
Point 1 – 24 deg. 11.008’N / 52 deg. 29.914’E
Point 2 – 24 deg. 10.973’N / 52 deg. 29.933’E
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution, avoid anchoring or trawling in the vicinity of the cable, and always maintain safe clearance.
