Strikes announced

The National Federation Ports & Docks CGT has filed a strike notice of 24 hours for Friday 9 July, following the liquidation of the structure employing dockers at the port of St-Malo.

A strike has been announced for gangways rigging at the ports of Montoir, Saint Nazaire, Nantes and Donges from 0500 hours on Thursday 9 July and 0500 hours on Friday 10 July. As a result, it will be impossible to install/remove shore gangways in Donges & Montoir terminal. Locks will be unavailable in Saint-Nazaire from 09/07 0000LT till 10/07 0000LT. There will be no impact on the LNG terminal

A 24-hours strike by crane drivers has also been called at the port of Bayonne on Thursday, 9 July.

There is also believed to be a strike on the same day at Bordeaux, though no official notice has been received yet.
