From 6 May to 31 July, soil investigation works will be conducted south of Chevron Terminal, at the following positions (WGS 84 Datum):
MBH01) 1° 17.964'N / 103° 44.498'E
MBH02) 1° 17.946'N / 103° 44.480'E
MBH03) 1° 17.921'N / 103° 44.453'E
MBH04) 1° 17.927'N / 103° 44.424'E
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.33 of 2024, the works will be carried out between 8:30am and 7:00pm daily, excluding Sundays and Public Holidays.
The soil investigation work will be carried out by jack up barges assisted by tug boats. The safety zone is a circular area of 30m radius centered at the jack up barges.
A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during working hours.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the work area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 18 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control VHF Channel 18 for assistance, if required.
