Soil investigation work off Tanjong Penjuru

Until 31 August, soil investigation works are being carried out in the vicinity of Tanjong Penjuru, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01° 17.807'N / 103° 45.163'E
2) 01° 17.736'N / 103° 45.173'E
3) 01° 17.732'N / 103° 45.146'E
4) 01° 17.803'N / 103° 45.137'E

According to Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.24 of 2023, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily, including Sundays and public holidays.

The soil investigation work will be carried out by crane barge assisted by a tug boat.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during working hours.

Craft involved in the work exhibits the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the work area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
