Marine soil investigation off Singapore Cruise Centre

From 5 April to 31 August, marine soil investigation work is underway off Singapore Cruise Centre.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.027 of 2021, the works are being carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - at the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1⁰ 15.777’N / 103⁰ 49.167’E
2) 1⁰ 15.765’N / 103⁰ 49.200’E
3) 1⁰ 15.743’N / 103⁰ 49.204’E

Soil investigation works will be carried out by means of sinking boreholes from the jack up barge. Tugboats will be used for shifting the jack up barge between the boreholes. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the platform for the whole duration of the works.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 5 (Cruise Bay Control);
and
e) Communicate with East Control on VHF Channel 5 for assistance, if required.
