Ships medicine supply

Ship chandlers are strictly prohibited from supplying any category of medicines, including registered, non-registered and controlled drugs, to vessels at Fujairah Offshore Anchorage and the Port of Fujairah. In accordance with their Municipal Trade licenses, these entities are not authorised to engage in the distribution of medicines and lack the requisite approval from the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Currently, only pharmacies that have obtained approval from the MOH and are registered with the Port of Fujairah are authorised to provide or replenish medicines, including registered, non-registered and controlled drugs, to vessels at Fujairah Offshore Anchorage and the Port of Fujairah.

Furthermore, ship chandlers are strictly prohibited from bringing ashore any expired medicines, as such actions could result in severe consequences involving Port Security, the Police and Fujairah Customs. For guidance on the proper disposal of expired medicines, please refer to Notice to Mariners No.148 Version 6.

Strict action will be taken against violators.
