Gale force winds and 4-5 metre swells are expected in Port Kembla from this afternoon (8 March) until late night tomorrow (9 March), during which time shipping will be conducted on a case-by-case basis.
The anchorage and outer harbour remain closed due to adverse weather. Movements in the inner harbour, including coal berth 102, are continuing for now.
The Duty Pilot and Harbour Master will assess the situation over the coming days to ensure the safety of the port is maintained.
