A naval exercise will take place in the Colombo area during below given times on 6 & 7 April.
SLSN Samudra:
6 April: 18:00 to 19:00 hours
7 April: 13:30 to 14:30 hours
SLNS Vijayabahu:
6 April: 12:30 to 13:30 hours
7 April: 08:00 to 09:00 hours
The coordinates of the allocated area are: 07 deg.21’N , 79 deg.10’E / 07 deg.16’N , 79 deg.30’E / 07 deg.06’N , 79 deg.30’E / 07 deg.03’N , 79 deg.10’E.
All merchant vessels, tender boats, tugs, fishing boats and other vessels anchored or operating in the area should keep well clear until completion of the naval exercise.
The surface clearance required (safety margin) is 05 NM.
