Salvage Operations at To Kwa Wan Typhoon Shelter

Salvage operations will be carried out for a period of approximately two months from 1 December 2024 in the following locations (WGS 84 Datum) at To Kwa Wan Typhoon Shelter:
(A) 22 deg. 18.782’N / 114 deg. 11.996’E
(B) 22 deg. 18.759’N / 114 deg. 12.001’E
(C) 22 deg. 18.736’N / 114 deg. 11.972’E
(D) 22 deg. 18.739’N / 114 deg. 11.932’E
(E) 22 deg. 18.784’N / 114 deg. 11.856’E
(F) 22 deg. 18.781’N / 114 deg. 11.868’E
(G) 22 deg. 18.781’N / 114 deg. 11.941’E

The works will be carried out by two crane barges and one flat-top barge. Two tugboats will provide assistance. Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from each crane barge.

The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1800 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works locations outside the hours of work.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
