Revision of maximum permissible draft

Karaikal Port has advised the revision of a new maximum permissible draft for the Channel and Berths 1, 2, 3 & 4 for the period 1-30 June.

The maximum permissible draft at high water for vessels will be:

CHANNEL
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 235m, beam 32.26m: 13.5 metres
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 292m, beam 45.00m: 13.5 metres

BERTH 1
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 235m, beam 32.26m: 13.5 metres
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 292m, beam 45.00m: 12.5 metres

BERTH 2
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 235m, beam 32.26m: 13.5 metres
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 292m, beam 45.00m: 13.5 metres

BERTH 3
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 235m, beam 32.26m: 13.5 metres
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 292m, beam 45.00m: 13.5 metres

BERTH 4
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 235m, beam 32.26m: 13.5 metres
- Maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 292m, beam 45.00m: 13.5 metres

Other parameters remain the same.
