Revised terminal marine charges

Marine charges for vessels calling at ATB Tanjung Bin Terminal in the Port of Tanjung Pelepas have been revised for the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2024.

CONSOLIDATED MARINE CHARGES (per call charges)
Include port dues, pilotage, towage and dockage in a single charge. Marine charges are on a per call basis and the length overall (LOA) of each vessel.

LOA 100 metres and below
- First 6 hours or part therefor (RM): 2,765.07
- Next hour or part thereof (RM): 92.17

LOA Exceeding 100 metres but not exceeding 150 metres
- First 6 hours or part therefor (RM): 3,911.94
- Next hour or part thereof (RM): 130.40

LOA Exceeding 150 metres but not exceeding 200 metres
- First 6 hours or part therefor (RM): 7,352.57
- Next hour or part thereof (RM): 326.78

LOA Exceeding 200 metres but not exceeding 250 metres
- First 6 hours or part therefor (RM): 8,714.16
- Next hour or part thereof (RM): 435.71

LOA Exceeding 250 metres but not exceeding 300 metres
- First 6 hours or part therefor (RM): 11,123.12
- Next hour or part thereof (RM): 865.14

LOA Exceeding 300 metres
- First 6 hours or part therefor (RM): 16,260.50
- Next hour or part thereof (RM): 1,300.85

The consolidated Marine Charges are based on the first 6 hours or part thereof and beyond that period only dockage is charged per hour or part thereof. Dockage is calculated from the time the vessel berths alongside until it leaves the berth, or from the time the vessel is anchored until it leaves the anchorage.

These rates apply for vessel loading and/or discharging goods at the wharf or anchorage for the purpose of taking bunker, ship’s supply, repairs, change of crew, ship-to-ship transfer or any other services required.

PILOTAGE DUES
If a vessel only requires pilotage for transit between the port limits where the consolidated Marine Charges are not applicable, the following charges are applicable:

LOA 15 metres and below:
NIL

LOA exceeding 15 metres:
RM 2.76 per metre per hour or part thereof

TOWAGE DUES

A. Vessels
If a vessel only requires towage for transit between the port limits, the following charge is applicable, commencing from the time the tug leaves its base to the time it returns to its base.
- Per tug per movement, per hour or part therefore: RM 7.18 per metre per hour per LOA

B. Floating objects (not classified as vessels)
For escort, towage of oil rigs, towage of pontoon or any unusual structures.
Per tug per movement, per hour or part therefore: RM 500.00

LAID-UP DUES
Additional laid-up dues per vessel at approved anchorage:

Size of vessel: 1,000 GT or less
- RM 4,000.00 per 30 days or part thereof

Size of vessel: Exceeding 1,000 GT to 2,000 GT
- RM 6,000.00 per 30 days or part thereof

Size of vessel: Exceeding 2,000 GT to 15,000 GT
- RM 8,000.00 per 30 days or part thereof

Size of vessel: Exceeding 15,000 GT
- RM 14,000.00 per 30 days or part thereof, and an additional RM 6.00 for every increase of 100 GT exceeding 15,000 GT

LATE APPLICATION, AMENDMENT & CANCELLATION CHARGES
Application for pilotage and towage shall be made at least 2 hours before the service is required. Amendment or cancellation shall be made at least 1 hour from time of service.
