The working period for revetment and seawall spalling concrete repairs in the vicinity off Changi Beach has been extended. The work will now be conducted until 31 October.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.65 of 2024, the works are being carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays and public holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
WORKING AREA A
1) 1°23.446'N / 103°59.618'E
2) 1°23.479'N / 103°59.635'E
3) 1°23.426'N / 103°59.747'E
4) 1°23.410'N / 103°59.740'E
WORKING AREA B
1) 1°23.220'N / 104°00.022'E
2) 1°23.227'N / 104°00.043'E
3) 1°23.118'N / 104°00.078'E
4) 1°23.112'N / 104°00.062'E
Repair works are being carried out using work barges. Tugboats are deployed to assist the barges.
A safety boat is in attendance at all times to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.
Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area,
b) Maintain a proper lookout,
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution,
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control),
e) Communicate with VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control) for assistance if required.
