03 Jun 2020 / Port Elizabeth, South Africa
With the country moving to level 3 lockdown and the predictions from our National Department of Health that the peak of the virus is expected in August and September 2020, it is incumbent of each individual person to ensure that all the relevant hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
Pier 1 and 2 have noted that some truck drivers going the Trouble / Help Desks are still not following the hygiene protocols. These drivers are not wearing gloves or masks.
All Transporters are to ensure that their drivers are issued with the masks and gloves and that these are worn as per the regulations. Any non-compliance may lead to the driver experiencing delays and/or even turned away due to the associated risk.
