Repairs at Brani PCG base

From 1 November 2023 to 1 May 2024, repair works are being carried out at Brani PCG base.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.101 of 2023, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & public holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1 01° 15.304'N / 103° 50.216'E
2 01° 15.284'N / 103° 50.226'E
3 01° 15.262'N / 103° 50.181’E
4 01° 15.356'N / 103° 49.888’E
5 01° 15.356'N / 103° 49.783’E
6 01° 15.402'N / 103° 49.783’E

The repair and replacement work of existing steel pontoons will be carried out by work barges assisted by tugboats. All barges with anchor boat in attendance will require a safe working zone of 30m radius centered at the barges.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during the repair operations.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 5 (Keppel Control);
and
e) Communicate with Keppel Control on VHF Channel 5 for assistance, if required.
