Repair works on pontoon at Pulau Seringat

From 24 April to 23 October, repairs will be carried out on the pontoon at Pulau Seringat.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.32 of 2023, the work will be conducted from 0800 to 1900 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1 01° 13.669'N / 103° 51.015'E
2 01° 13.615'N / 103° 51.012'E
3 01° 13.613'N / 103° 51.066’E
4 01° 13.669'N / 103° 51.069’E

The repair works will involve inspection of the damaged piles, erection and dismantling of temporary working platform and installation of new piles.

Safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during the repair operations.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
e) Communicate with East Control on VHF Channel 12 for assistance, if required.
