Repair works on floating sea barrier off Sentosa

From 17 April to 31 August, repair works are being carried out on the floating sea barrier off Sentosa.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.30 of 2023, the work is being carried out between 0800 and 1900 hours daily, including Sundays, off Tanjong Beach and south of Sentosa, within the working areas bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

The repair works on the floating sea barrier will be carried out by divers and assisted by crane barge and tug boats.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during the repairs.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control) and VHF Channel 12 (East Control;
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 and East Control on VHF Channel 12 for assistance, if required.
