The Suez Canal Authority has decided to renew the following rebate circulars for LNG and LPG carriers to 31 December 2021.
FOR LNG CARRIERS
Circular (7/2017) & amending periodicals issued on 31 March 2020 & 27 September 2020, concerning LNG tankers (laden/ballast) operating between the “American Gulf” & ports South of the “American Gulf”, the “Arabian Gulf”, India and its eastern ports.
For LNG tankers loaded or in ballast operating between the American Gulf, Arabian Gulf zone, India and its eastern ports the following reductions (replacing normal LNG reduction 25%):
35% rebate
- From/to US Gulf area
- To/from Arabian Gulf starting from Muscat & west of India till Cochin
55% rebate
- From/to US Gulf area
- To/from East of Cochin port until Singapore
75% rebate
- From/to US Gulf area
- To/from Singapore ports and its eastern ports
Rebates will be deducted from Suez Canal transit tolls and to be confirmed after submitting all rebate documents maximum one year from transit date. The rebate form to be submitted to Suez Canal Authority prior to transit.
The tanker has no right to benefit from other rebates granted by SCA to LNG tankers, beside that rebate subject of this circular.
FOR LPG CARRIERS
Circular no. 4/2020 concerning the rebate granted to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carriers (Laden or Ballast) operating between the “American Gulf”, India and its Eastern ports.
For LPG tankers loaded or in ballast operating between the American Gulf, India and its WEST AND eastern ports the following reductions:
24% rebate
- From/to US Gulf area
- To/from West Coast of India & Maldives Island until port of Kochi
60% rebate
- From/to US Gulf area
- To/from Eastern ports of Port Kochi up to Singapore
75% rebate
- From/to US Gulf area
- To/from Singapore ports and its eastern ports
Rebates are deducted from Suez Canal transit tolls, to be confirmed after submitting all rebate documents maximum one year from transit date. Rebate application must be submitted to Suez Canal prior to the vessel sailing from port of origin, with 72 hours pre-notice prior sailing at least and earlier notice highly recommended.
