Removal of buoys

Work to remove EM-PESEK 1 & EM-PESEK 2 buoys is underway in Pesek Basin until 26 June.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.53 of 2024, the work is being conducted daily between 08:00am and 06:00pm – including Sundays and Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

Buoy removal works are being carried out by crane barges and assisted by tug boats. The safety zone is a circular area of 40m radius centered at the working barge.

A safety boat is in attendance to warn vessels in the vicinity to keep clear of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
