Refurbishment of fence in Nenas Channel at Pulau Ubin

Work to refurbish a fence at sea in the Nenas Channel at Pulau Ubin will be carried out from 15 January to 15 April.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.03 of 2024, the work will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays and Public Holidays - within the working areas bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

Refurbishment of fence along the coastline of Pulau Ubin will be carried out using a flat top barge. A tugboat will be deployed to assist the positioning of the barge.

A safety boat will be in attendance at all times to warn and re-direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
