Reclamation work at Tuas View

The working period for reclamation work at Tuas View off Temasek Fairway has been extended, and the work will now be carried out from 15 June to 14 December.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.035 of 2020 dated 10 June 2020, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

The reclamation work involves the installation of caissons, rock mound works, removal of stone shore protection, dredging and underwater blasting at basin and sand key trench.

Safety boats will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other craft of the works.

During this period, bulk carriers, self-propelled barges and pusher tugs with barges in composite unit carrying bulk sand will be transiting the Temasek Fairway to the Tuas Finger One reclamation project area. The mooring and unmooring of vessels will be carried out one at a time during daylight hours between 0700hrs to 1800hrs.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
