On the occasion of Prophet Mohamed’s Birthday, Sunday 15 September has been declared an official holiday in Oman. Ministries, Public Authorities and other Government Departments will be closed.
Sohar’s port operation office will work 24/7 as per the normal working schedule. All marine movements during the holiday period will be on overtime basis.
There will be delays in receiving official approval as less government staff during the holidays.
Sohar Port Gate passes cannot be issued during holidays.
Visa applications can be applied for during the said period but approvals are subject to attendance of Immigration officials.
The Advario Terminals LLC and VALE Terminal in Sohar will be operational 24/7, as usual.
Limited staff from GAC Oman’s Sohar office will attend urgent and important matters with normal working resuming on 16 September.
