Post Cyclone Freddy port status

Weather conditions at Port Louis have improved considerably and will further improve during the day. The port is open since this morning (22 February) for operation at inner port and outer port for vessels other than fishing vessels.

According to advice from Mauritius Port Authority, shipping movements at MPT have resumed.

Shipping movements at MCT and the Oil Jetty will also resume once the vessels call at the Pilot Station.

There is a swell of about 1.0 metre at the port entrance. There is also a swell of 1.0 metre at MCT 1, reducing to about 0.5 metre at MCT 3.
