Ports reopened after cyclone makes landfall

Ports have reopened after Cyclone Biparjoy completed its landfall on the Gujarat coast at the weekend.

SIKKA: Port decided to open port (SPTL) for operations. However, due to unavailability anchorage position at SPTL all vessels to hold out of Gulf of Kutch area until further instructions. Berthing only when sea, swell and wind parameters are within operable limits.

MUNDRA: Port operations resumed from 0600 hours on 17 June, but continues to observe weather condition closely.

GPPL PIPAVAV: After the weather improved considerably, the port resumed marine operations from 17 June pm. Vessels should continue to provide additional mooring ropes and tend to mooring continuously whilst in port.

KANDLA: Port operations resumed from 0700 hours on 17 June.

NAVLAKHI: Operations resumed from 17 June (pm).

DAHEJ: GCPL resumed operations by the morning of 17 June and PPL by midday.

HAZIRA: AHPL Terminal and HPPL resumed operations from the morning of 17 June.
