Port operations during Eid holiday

The government Eid holidays expected to commence on 16 July until to 24 July, returning to work schedule on 25 July onwards. The last date to submit applications to immigration for a seaman visa before the holiday will be 15 July.

The port of Ras Laffan will be working as normal through the holiday, but with a skeleton staff. The gate pass office will remain closed on the first day of the Eid Holiday and on the second day will be operated skeleton staff with an additional charge of QR 250 per pass. There will be no signatories available on the first day of Eid for gate pass applications. Seaman transit pass /Gate Pass Endorsement can be obtained subject to port approval.

Please note that the issue of Seaman’s Visa issuance takes an average of 4-5 days lately, instead of 2-3 days previously, due to exceptional entry permit along with visa.

Ras Laffan Customs Office will remain closed from 16 to 24 July and no permission or approval can be obtained during Eid Holidays.

Anchorage inspections will be carried out only with customs pre-approvals and subject to the inspector’s availability.

Port customs will be closed on 1st day of Eid.

As the port clinic and Madina clinic at Ras Laffan will also be closed from 17 to 23 July, it will not be possible to arrange swab tests during the holiday. For any swab test required during this period, collection should be arranged through a MOPH-approved third party clinic (subject to availability). Charges will be applicable.
