Port activities resuming

Following a substantial improvement in the sea and swell conditions, port activities at Port Louis outer anchorage and shipping movements at MPT have been resumed.

Master of vessels approaching the port waters are kindly urged to pay particular attention to the swell condition and the movements of other vessels in the vicinity and adhere strictly to the instructions of the harbour radio/Pilot on vhf channel 12/14.

Currently, the sea is slight to moderate at inner port and MPT, moderate to rather rough at the outer anchorage and rough at MCT.

The swell height is as follows:
- MCT: 2.0-2.5m
- Entrance beacons: 1.50m
- CN01: 80cm
- Quays 1-4: 60cm
- Quay D: 50cm

AIS and VHF radio should be kept on at all times for better control of their movements when approaching the port waters.
