Pilots’ Bank Channel tariff to increase

14 Oct 2022 / Sabine, United States

The President of the Sabine Pilots Association has advised that they will adjust their Bank Channel tariff with effect from 1 January 2023. The Bank Channel tariff rate will increase by 2.5%, and the boat charge will increase by $50.

This increase will remain in effect until 31 December 2023 or until the “SB” buoy is relocated by the USCG as required by the channel deepening project.

If the “SB” buoy is relocated during 2023, a revised tariff will be published to reflect the additional distance, time, and expenses needed to service vessels from the new “SB” buoy.

This slight increase is being initiated to help offset increased fuel, labor, and material costs.
