Pilot dues increased

Pilot dues in Norway have been increased for all vessels from 1 March, with a significant increase for tankers.

Highlights of the new charges include:

  • General increase in the hourly rate.
  • Maximum basis for charge is 200,000 gross tonnage (GT). Tankers cannot reduce their gross tonnage (GT) with the volume of segregated ballast tanks.
  • If the vessel has an ESI Score of 50 or higher, the pilotage readiness fee will be reduced by 100% and the safety fee will be reduced with 25%.
