Notification of protected industrial action

Tug operator Svitzer Australia has received notification of work stoppages from the Australian Maritime Officers Union (AMOU) at several ports throughout the country, as follows:

BRISBANE
- 48 hour stoppage from 06:00am on Thursday 17 February to 06:00am on Saturday 19 February
- 72 hour stoppage from 06:00am on Tuesday 22 February to 06:00am on Friday 25 February

NEWCASTLE
- 48 hour stoppage from 06:00am on Thursday 17 February to 06:00am on Saturday 19 February
- 48 hour stoppage from 06:00am Tuesday 22 February to 06:00am on Thursday 24 February
- Ban on employees performing relief work for an unlimited duration from 06:00am on Wednesday 16 February

PORT BOTANY & PORT JACKSON
- 48 hour stoppage from 00:01am on Thursday 17 February to 00:01 on Saturday 19 February
- 48 hour stoppage from 00:01am on Tuesday 22 February to 00:01 on Thursday 24 February

CAIRNS
- Ban on employees performing relief work for an unlimited duration from 06:00am on Thursday 17 February

Svitzer will review schedules and crewing requirements to minimise any potential disruption.
