Svitzer Australia has received a notification of protected industrial action from the Maritime Union of Australia for the ports of Brisbane and Far North Queensland - Cairns, Lucinda and Mourilyan.
The planned industrial action planned involves members of the MUA employed by Svitzer Australia and will take the form of the following bans and work stoppages:
Brisbane
Cairns, Mourilyan & Lucinda
Svitzer advises that the industrial action may impact operations, but they are doing all they can to minimise disruption including adjusting schedules and taking on additional costs.
